CRANE SWIVEL

A crane swivel is a type of fishing swivel that's similar to a barrel swivel but can better handle tension from heavy loads. It's named after the assembly on a crane's hook because of its body shape. Crane swivels have a ring on each end and a pivoting joint in the middle that allows the bottom ring to move without twisting the top line. This allows the bait or leader to move freely, which can increase the action of the lure and eliminate line twist.
